For us, the Guernsey Literary Festival is one of the highlights of the year. There's something special about seeing world-class authors and speakers arrive on our island and watching book lovers of all ages come together for a few weeks each spring.
Our co-founder Stef has been involved behind the scenes with the Festival steering committee for many years, so we know first-hand just how much work and care goes into making it happen. We also know that opportunities to join the team at this level don't come along very often, because the people involved tend to enjoy it so much they come back year after year.
But some new roles have recently opened up within the team: Festival Administrator, Deputy Director and Volunteers Coordinator.

This part-time, flexible role focuses primarily on speaker liaison and festival administration. From arranging travel for visiting authors to coordinating schedules and contracts, you'll play an important part in bringing the Festival together each year. The role involves up to 500 hours of work each year, mainly between December and May. Salary details available on application.
