5 Ways To Well with Georgina Hockey

Georgina, a Yoga and Pilates Instructor who also offers Crystal Sound Bowl sessions, shares her wellness essentials.

1.  Movement & Sound Bath

Movement is at the heart of my wellbeing. Both Yoga and Pilates help me to stay connected to my body, build strength and find balance both physically and mentally. Over the years I have tried all different types of classes and to find movement that I truly love, and now I love to share these practices with other people. On the days where my body is calling for something softer and more restful I turn to my crystal sounds bowls. Crystal Bowl Sound bath offers a space to slow down release tension and restore the nervous system.

2.  Morning Cacao

It's been about two years since I switched out my morning coffee for Cacao and I will never look back! Drinking Cacao is a heart opening ritual for me which encourages connection, presence and intention. I always start the day feeling grounded!

3.  Walking My Dogs

A daily walk outside with my two crazy Border Collies gets me outside and lets me enjoy nature throughout all the seasons. It’s a simple but powerful way to clear my head and reconnect with nature.

4.  Spending Time With Family

For me, spending time with my family is always a reminder to feel grateful for the simple things in life - a walk outdoors, sharing good food around the table, or curling up to watch a movie in front of the fire together when it’s cold outside.

5.  Gratitude

Last year I brought my first @selfdom gratitude journal and wow - what a game changer! I have always enjoyed journaling but this journal encourages the intentional practice of noticing what is present and meaningful even in imperfect moments. Gratitude is a choice to notice the good that already exists in our lives. Each morning and evening writing down one thing I am grateful for helps me to stay present and really appreciate my day.
