This has become a bit of a morning ritual for me, I am highly caffeine sensitive and whilst tea and coffee may ‘get me going’ in the morning it inevitably leads to a crash. Drinking a nutrient rich cacao helps me to connect into my heart and sustains me through my pretty physically demanding days.
This is a big job with five horses to care for, but it is so important for me. I have an auto immune condition that means if I’m not moving a lot then I can stiffen up and become sore, so this gets me moving in the morning. It gets me outside in nature, hanging out with my horses and caring for them. I can allow thoughts to weave in and out as they choose as I methodically move through the tasks and I often find I get moments of inspiration whilst I’m doing this daily chore too.
Most of my podcast choices at the moment seem to be around expansion of the mind, planetary impacts on patterns on our global stage. I like to pop a podcast in when I’m out with my dogs or sometimes when I’m mucking out and it just helps to widen the lens with which I’m looking at the world through.
This is both physical and metaphysical for me. My Centre, as in my workspace, is a healing place to be, by its very nature. And coming back to my own centre daily to check in with myself helps me to navigate my way through life in a heart led way.
I adore my family - both 2 legged and 4 legged - and spending time with them and my extended family (my friends) always feels like a warm hug. Time together is always filled with laughter, warmth and genuine kind heartedness. It’s always guaranteed to fill my cup.
